Case Studies

The following are examples of just some of the systems and services that we have provided to clients. Please contact us for more information and testimonials regarding these or other case studies.

Service: Motor vehicle insurance by text
The system was developed for an insurance underwriters and brokers who are the largest provider to the motor trade.
With the introduction of the Motor Insurance Database, it was imperative that vehicles covered under motor trader's policies were added and removed from the government database within 48 hours. The most economic way to notify insurer of this rapidly changing information was by text message.
Motor traders text a VRN (Vehicle Registration Number) to our shortcode number. Each policy holder is recognised by their mobile phone number in our database. Invalid phone numbers are rejected.
Our server then sends the data to the DVLA database which is then abbreviated and sent back to the motor trader's phone to confirm the vehicle's identity. This data and the request for insurance is also sent to insurer's Database.
The system can also provide HP and stolen vehicle information to the user, which is paid for by premium message.

Service: banking CRM
A major UK retail bank was running in-branch customer feedback. The information from this was automatically fed back to a central database.
We adapted our messaging system to receive the feedback data and send a summary customer satisfaction rating to each branch manager prior to each day's business.

Service: text messaging console for telecoms reseller market
The a UK-based telecoms plc needed to provide a text messaging console to it's business users who include some of the Premiership football clubs. Although they had considered building a system they felt it was more economic to use one that was already developed and tested.
Their decision to choose txt4ever was based both on the quality of the product, and our service to back it up.

Service: health awareness campaign
The client, an NHS Trust, wanted to develop a mobile campaign that would help smokers to quit.
We provided a system to provide helpful support messages and reminders. Smokers who contacted the trust were encouraged to sign up for the mobile service - this could be done online, or by SMS. Once subscribed they received supportive messages for four weeks. Additionally, by texting the work HELP to the shortcode number, quitting smokers could receive further support messages and advice exactly when they needed it.

Service: SMS marketing campaign
The requirement for this client was to develop an innovative campaign that would help reduce the number of people on the streets of Westminster after their Christmas office party.
We used the timed message facility in txt4ever to send both reminders for cab bookings and also to allow users to set up 'excuse' texts that would arrive on their phone during the party and give them an excuse to leave early. The mobile users added their office party information through the Westminster Council website, which automatically integrated into a txt4ever user account.

Service: Restaurant booking service and marketing campaign
A small restaurant chain wanted to integrate SMS reminders into their online booking system. We adapted txt4ever to accept bookings coming in from their website and deliver both a booking confirmation text and a reminder text on the day of the booking.

Service: messaging system for schools
A London education authority had identified text messaging as an important tool for truancy management, parent and pupil contact, emergencies and campaigns.
They have used txt4ever to enhance many of it's activities, and have found it particularly useful for:
Contacting Looked After Children (those in foster or local authority care) by SMS.
Managing school emergencies (such as unexpected closures) by SMS.
Anti-bullying initiative using reporting by SMS.
Promoting adult education, particularly access to IT courses
